MOONSTo̲̲NE cafe over the Sea in Phuket

"This restaurant has an incredible location, especially if you choose to sit outside where you can fully enjoy the sea breeze. The setting pairs beautifully with the food and creates a relaxed, vacation-like atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and savor the moment. I ordered the pesto scrambled egg on sourdough (no bacon), which was perfect for sharing, along with the crudo. The crudo was a mix of salmon and cobia—this combination isn’t listed on the menu, but you can request it, and it’s absolutely worth trying. Being able to taste both types of fish in one dish adds depth and variety to the experience. Overall, the food has a very approachable flavor profile. It’s rich and slightly creamy, but never heavy or overwhelming. Everything feels well balanced and easy to enjoy without being overly seasoned. To finish, I had the Earl Grey ice cream with a shortbread biscuit, which worked perfectly as a palate cleanser before continuing the day. It tied the whole meal together in a very satisfying way. While the prices may feel high compared to the portion sizes, the cost feels justified when you factor in the atmosphere, location, and overall experience. It’s a place that works well for both dining and relaxing, making it a great choice for a meal paired with a seaside escape."

"We visited this pier for the first time and were absolutely charmed by the location. There’s spacious parking right on the pier, and just a few steps down the stairs, right by the water, you’ll find this hidden gem of a café. Moonstone serves excellent coffee brewed from Chiang Mai beans. I ordered their signature iced cappuccino with cheese foam — divine. The breakfasts are creative and full of personality. I had one served on sourdough bread with sautéed spinach, a piece of white fish (!), two poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce with red chili. A bold Thai twist on a classic. I love how they experiment with the menu! It was incredibly tasty, but I recommend to the team to slightly adjust the amount of hollandaise. With the runny yolks, it turned into a small lake of sauce and egg on the plate. Just a little tweak needed — but the flavors were still absolutely phenomenal. We also tried the square croissant with ice cream. Both the croissant and the ice cream were fantastic. A true hidden gem — I’ll be sending all my friends here!"

"First of all, while the location is a little out of the way, it is worth it to visit. The fish and chips for sea bass is mid, but the fish and chips with halibut is fire. The way the buttered flour and the fish stick and taste is good. The mocha is one of the nicest drink I drank. The atmosphere here is nice. Music is nice. The only issue when i was there was someone fixing the bridge so the banging is loud. The service here is good. Staff knows english. They have menu in english. The staff are patient and helpful. They have something where you get to choose a lucky draw if you spend 888 and above. Overall enjoyable time."

"This was just what I needed for a cafe. Great espresso drinks, food was delicious and for the price amazing! Happy customer will definitely come back to try other things. My friend got the captain American fried rice which is with ketchup sauce it’s a little sweet. I got the the crew breakfast with latte included I got an iced latte. 320 baht The food was so good for breakfast I couldn’t wait to go back for the fish sandwich and craft beer!! 5 stars again!!"
